MEET THE TEAM
Karan Amin (CEO, Co-Founder)
Karan grew up in Corona, CA. While initially interested in the sciences and attending pharmacy school in Massachusetts, he began to develop a passion for entrepreneurship. Inspired by his early exposure to his family business, Karan set out to learn the details of independently operating a small business on a day to day basis. The skill and insight he gathered from his experience led him to explore and pursue multiple entrepreneurial projects, including Rival. He brings a unique perspective on business operations, financial accountability, and network expansion to the Rival team. A former athlete himself, he aspires to use his skills to help create the ultimate sports platform for competitive athletes.
Jasjeet Virk, M.D. (COO, Co-Founder)
Jasjeet is currently a resident physician specializing in primary care. Originally from Corona, CA he attended Claremont McKenna College as a Bill and Melinda Gates Interdisciplinary Science Scholar, graduating in 2013 with a degree in Environment, Economics, and Politics. An avid basketball fan and former high school basketball player, Jasjeet always enjoys his favorite hobby of playing pick-up basketball in his free time. He hopes to use his passion for sports to help turn Rival into something every athlete can rely on.
